Nimsoft Continues Upward Momentum with Strong Q3 2008 Results

Subscription Revenue Doubled Year on Year

Redwood City, Calif. – October 31, 2008 – Nimsoft, Inc., the “Big 4” alternative for IT performance and availability monitoring solutions, today announced another strong set of financial results for the three months ending September 30, 2008.

Subscription revenue more than doubled with recurring revenue at quarter end up nearly 150% and the maintenance base up over 160%.  New order growth was up approximately 30% with order backlog up near 100% over the same quarter last year.

The company added a record number of 40 new logo customers including 13 managed service providers during the three months, bringing the total customer count to more than 700 in 30 countries. The results reinforce the continued demand for Nimsoft solutions that are easier to use, faster to implement and offer superior ROI.

The results close a successful quarter where: 

  • Nimsoft secured a $12 million second-round funding led by Goldman Sachs, with existing investors participating also. The investment will enable Nimsoft to continue its development and achieve its vision of becoming the world’s leading enterprise systems management software company.
  • Nimsoft unveiled Real User Monitoring (RUM). RUM adds passive monitoring to ‘Best of the Best’ Nimsoft synthetic transaction monitoring to extend its application performance monitoring solution.
  • Inc. magazine ranked Nimsoft as the fastest growing systems management vendor with a 534-percent revenue growth over the last four years.
  • Nimsoft added forty new customers including thirteen new Managed Service Providers and two of the top ten from the MSPmentor 100.
  • Nimsoft launched its MSPZone for Managed Service Providers at www.nimsoft.com/mspzone
  • Nimsoft invited to speak at a Butler Group conference on IT Service Management.
  • Gary Read appointed to the Board of Directors of Scalable Software, a leader in IT asset lifecycle management solutions.
  • Nimsoft named an emerging tech dynamo by CRN Reseller magazine for the second year in a row.
